Part of the Artevino portfolio, the Vetus estate comprises 10 hectares of old Tinta de Toro (the local name for Tempranillo) vines, located in Villabuena del Puente in the region of Morales de Toro. It is a project started by the owners of Izadi in the Toro DO, with their first vintage in 2003. The vineyards are 30 years old, planted on south-facing sites with sandy and clay soils. The wines have expressive aromas of ripe fruit and a subtle touch of sweet spice, and are perfectly balanced.

In the cellars, the Master Liquorist skillfully blends angelica, St John’s wort, saffron, cardamom, genepiand and other ingredients, followed by a double distillation.
