This family domaine is based to the north of Sancerre, in Mambray, a tiny hamlet not far from Verdiny and Chavignol. The 14 hectares are carefully managed by Pascal and his wife Nathalie, alongside Nicolas’s widow Sophie. The soil, which is a mix of clay and chalk, typical for the region, gives a wonderful, minerally, fine-boned Sauvignon Blanc. Baricci’s history dates back to 1955 when Nello Baricci, one of the 26 founders of the Association of Brunello di Montalcino in 1967, purchased 5 hectares of vineyards in Colombaio di Montosoli.
